Ingredients
  

For the stuffing

  • 1/4 cup Blue cheese, crumbled Or a milder cheese if preferred
  • 2 tbsp Walnuts, chopped Can substitute with pecans or almonds
  • 1 tbsp Honey Can use maple syrup for a vegan option
  • 1 tsp Fresh thyme leaves Other herbs like rosemary or basil can be used

For the pears

  • 2 pieces Ripe pears, halved and cored Use Anjou, Bartlett, or Bosc pears for best results

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cut each ripe pear in half and scoop out the core.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the crumbled blue cheese, chopped walnuts, honey, and fresh thyme. Stir gently until blended.
  • Fill each pear half with the cheese mixture.

Baking

  • Arrange the stuffed pears cut side up on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until tender and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the oven and drizzle more honey if desired before serving.

Notes

Serve as an appetizer or unique dessert. Can be paired with a salad or enjoyed on a cheese board. Ensure pears are ripe for the best texture and flavor.
