Ingredients

For the sandwich

  • 2 slices slices of bread Choose your favorite kind, whether it's soft white, hearty whole grain, or gluten-free.
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese Opt for creamy cheddar or melty mozzarella for the best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup fresh blueberries Look for plump, juicy blueberries that burst with sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon butter This will give your sandwich that golden, crispy finish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Butter one side of each slice of bread evenly.
  • Turn one slice over, buttered side facing down, and layer the shredded cheese on the unbuttered side.
  • Scatter the fresh blueberries evenly on top of the cheese.
  • Place the other slice of bread on top, buttered side facing out.
  • Press down gently to meld the ingredients together.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich on the hot surface.
  • Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden and the cheese melts.
  • Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve warm.

Notes

Ensure the heat is medium to prevent burning the bread. Experiment with different cheeses and consider adding a drizzle of honey for extra sweetness.
