Cheesecake Filling Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream Makes cheesecake decadent.

Topping Ingredients

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  • In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter. Mix until it forms a crumbly texture.
  • Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 1 cup sugar and mix until well combined.
  • Add vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated.
  • Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust and smooth the top.

Baking

  • Bake for 55-60 minutes or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
  • Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside with the door slightly open for 1 hour.
  • Remove from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Ganache Preparation

  • To make ganache, heat 1/2 cup heavy cream over medium heat until simmering. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips, stirring until smooth.
  • Let ganache cool slightly before using.
  • Whip remaining 1 cup heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form for the topping.
  • Spread whipped cream over the chilled cheesecake and drizzle the cooled ganache on top.
  • Refrigerate for another 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Make sure the cream cheese is softened before mixing. Avoid overmixing to prevent cracking during baking. Allow cooling gradually in the oven to avoid cracks.
