For the Peanut Butter Base

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Ensure butter is creamy, not melted.
  • 2 cups powdered sugar Adds sweetness to bind everything.
  • 1.5 cups peanut butter An aromatic and nutty flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances flavor.
  • 2 cups crushed graham crackers Adds texture and crunch.

For the Chocolate Topping

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Use high-quality chips for rich flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter Used for enhancing flavor in the topping.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, powdered sugar, and peanut butter until smooth.
  • Mix in vanilla extract until well incorporated.
  • Stir in crushed graham crackers until evenly distributed.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press firmly into an even layer.

Chocolate Preparation

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter.
  • Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.

Assembly

  • Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the peanut butter base and spread evenly.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
  • Once chilled, lift the bars out of the pan using parchment overhang and cut into squares.

Notes

Serve with milk, coffee, or ice cream. Ensure butter is softened properly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
