Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Allow the cookies to cool for 5 minutes, then roll them warm in powdered sugar.
  • Cool completely on a wire rack and dust again with powdered sugar.

Notes

For best results, ensure butter is at room temperature, and drain cherries well. Rolling cookies in powdered sugar right out of the oven creates a festive appearance. The cookies can be chilled before baking for enhanced flavor.
