  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk Ensures the perfect consistency.
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds Optional; adds nutritional boost and thick texture.
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup Optional; enhances sweetness.
  • as needed Ice cubes To chill and thicken the smoothie.
  • 1 Lime wedge For garnish.

Preparation

  • Add frozen cherries and cooled cooked beets to your blender.
  • Follow with plain Greek yogurt, fresh lime juice, almond milk, and optional chia seeds and honey.
  • Begin blending at low speed to combine the ingredients, then gradually increase to high speed until creamy and smooth.
  • Pause to scrape down the sides of the blender if needed. Adjust the smoothie’s consistency by adding more almond milk if too thick or frozen cherries/ice if too thin.
  • For an extra refreshing smoothie, add a handful of ice cubes and blend again until completely smooth.
  • Pour into a glass and garnish with a lime wedge if desired.
  • Enjoy immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

Best served fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
