Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract and mix well.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese with the powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Fill each muffin liner halfway with the muffin batter, add a spoonful of cream cheese filling, then top with more batter.
  • Sprinkle the tops with cinnamon sugar.

Baking

  • Bake for 18–20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
