Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir well.
  • Gradually pour in the warm water while mixing until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, for about 5 minutes.
  • Cover the dough and let it rest for about 30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Divide the rested dough into balls and flatten each into a circle about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Fry the flattened dough in hot oil until golden brown and puffy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Remove and let drain on paper towels.

Assembly

Notes
