Preparation

  • Line an 8x8 inch pan with parchment paper, ensuring the edges hang over the sides for easy removal later.
  • In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and unsalted butter. Stir continuously until melted and smooth.
  • Remove from heat and mix in the vanilla extract and a pinch of optional salt.
  • Divide the melted fudge into separate bowls and mix in gel food coloring to create vibrant colors.
  • Alternate spoonfuls of each color into the prepared pan to create a marbled effect.
  • Gently swirl the layers with a toothpick or knife without completely mixing.
  • Sprinkle the top with edible glitter or luster dust.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours until set.
  • Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment and cut into squares for serving.

Notes

Stir continuously over low heat to prevent burning. Using quality chocolate chips enhances the flavor. Don't rush the chilling process for perfect sliceable fudge.
