Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Gently halve the pears and core them, leaving the skin intact. Place them cut-side up on a baking dish.
  • Drizzle the melted butter generously over the pear halves.

Cooking

  • Sprinkle cinnamon, crumbled blue cheese, and toasted walnuts onto the pears.
  • Drizzle fresh lemon juice and honey over the pears.
  • Roast in the oven for approximately 20-25 minutes until the pears are tender and golden.
  • Serve immediately, drizzled with an extra splash of honey.

Notes

Choose pears that are ripe but firm to hold their shape during roasting. If preferred, let pears marinate in melted butter and lemon juice. Alternatives for cheese include feta or goat cheese. Can be served with ice cream or whipped cream.
