  • Reduce the heat to low and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, for another 15-20 minutes until the onions are caramelized and golden brown.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the fresh thyme leaves.
  • Serve warm as a side dish or as a topping for grilled meats.
