Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground beef chosen for its rich and savory flavor
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced provides an aromatic base
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce brings salty depth
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes adjustable for heat
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil for nutty aroma
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar adds slight sweetness
  • 1 cup broccoli florets for color and crunch
  • 1/2 piece red bell pepper, sliced adds color
  • 1/2 piece zucchini, sliced for added texture
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced for an earthy flavor
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for sautéing
  • 1 cup steamed white rice for serving

Instructions

Preparation

  • Wash and chop all the vegetables while mincing the garlic. Measure out the soy sauce and seasonings precisely.

Cooking the Ground Beef

  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, add the sesame oil and minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the ground beef, break it into small pieces, and let it brown.
  • Once browned, pour in the soy sauce, chili flakes, and brown sugar. Stir and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.

Sautéing the Vegetables

  • In a separate pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the minced garlic for 30 seconds.
  • Add the mushrooms and cook for about 2 minutes until they release their juices.
  • Toss in the broccoli, zucchini, and red bell pepper. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.

Assembling the Bowl

  • Place a generous serving of hot steamed rice at the bottom of each bowl.
  • Arrange the seasoned beef and sautéed vegetables on top. Drizzle with extra sauce if desired.

Notes

Ensure your skillet is hot before adding oil for better browning of the beef. Use fresh vegetables for optimal taste and texture. Don't overcrowd the pan to avoid steaming.
