  • Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
  • Add the minced garlic and ginger to the oil and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the steak strips and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes, then remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, stir-fry the shrimp until they turn pink, around 2-3 minutes.
  • Toss in the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vibrant yet slightly tender.
  • Return the cooked steak to the skillet. Add the lo mein noodles, soy sauce, and oyster sauce, mixing thoroughly.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
  • Serve hot, garnished with extra vegetables or herbs if desired.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the skillet. You can substitute shrimp with tofu for a vegetarian option. For healthier alternatives, consider using whole wheat or rice noodles.
